Frame: Latin Count: 2 3 4
Leaders and Followers: Mirrored steps for basic Aida

Instructions (Leader's Perspective)

Starting from basic position, with weight over L foot:

  1. Pivot over the L foot turning 90 degrees to the R
  2. Back walk onto the R foot
  3. Back walk onto the L foot
  4. Back walk onto the R foot

Instructions (Follower's Perspective)

Starting from basic position, with weight over R foot:

  1. Pivot over the R foot turning 90 degrees to the L
  2. Back walk onto the L foot
  3. Back walk onto the R foot
  4. Back walk onto the L foot

Tips and Tricks
  • Keep your connection in the center and give yourselves plenty of space in between. In dancing, taking up space is a good thing!
  • If you want to continue with a side-by-side cucaracha, keep your connection steady (neither pulling nor pushing). This is a signal to stay in place. If you want to continue with the double solo spot turn, allow your connection to extend forward slightly, then pull back as you both do the outside pivot.
