Introduction: A silver level move for Waltz
Frame: Promenade. Count: 1 2 3
Leaders and Followers: Leaders and Followers move differently.

Instructions (Leader Perspective)

  1. From Promenade Position, step across yourself HT with R.
  2. Close your L foot to the R, but don't transfer your weight.
    • Begin rotating your frame from Promenade back to Closed.
    • Accompany this with a gentle rise so that your heels just barely leave the floor.
  3. Complete rotating so that your frame is now halfway between Closed and Counter-Promenade, while gently lowering onto both heels.

Instructions (Follower Perspective)

  1. From Promenade Position, step across yourself HT with L.
  2. Forward step across the man with R, remaining on the ball of the foot.
    • During this count, gradually shift your frame from Promenade back to Closed.
  3. Forward step across yourself TH with L, keeping frame with your partner.
    • This step should be a full weight transfer so that your R foot becomes free.

Tips and Tricks
  • Video (begins with open telemark): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zy5trys-LOw
  • Followers: you can tell the difference between this step and the Chasse from PP by how much the leader progresses on step 2 -- if you feel an arrest in his momentum, it is a signal to step across him into a Wing.
